Bradford School is a small, private, for-profit career college located in Columbus, Ohio near the well-known Easton Town Center. It originally was founded in 1911 and moved to its current suburban campus location in 2003. It has on-campus housing for students but more than half of students live in the Columbus area and commute.

Bradford School has an undergraduate population of 443. Of 1,543 applicants, 689 (or 45%) were admitted.

Academics

Bradford School provides career-focused courses to high school graduates. Students can graduate in 10-12 months by earning a diploma. Associate of Applied Science degree programs can be completed in 16-20 months. Bradford groups its five major areas of study into three main categories: Graphic Design, Health Care, and Culinary Arts.

Veterinary Technology

One of seven Vet Tech Institute campuses,(VTI)at Bradford School offers students hands-on learning in an 18-month Associate of Applied Science degree program. The facility contains an on-site kennel, well equipped laboratory and animal science classrooms, and X-ray and surgical suites. Students work with many different kinds of animals and are supervised by on-staff veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. Completion of the school's American Veterinary Medical Association accredited program qualifies an individual to take the national licensing exam to become a registered veterinary technician. During the last semester, students complete an off-site externship, coordinated by the institute.

Culinary arts

The Columbus Culinary Institute (CCI) is a division of the Bradford School, and is located on their campus. Bradford's dormitories are available for students, but more than half of the students live in the Columbus area and commute. The program has an undergraduate population of 150. A high school diploma is a prerequisite, and 54% of applicants are accepted to the program. Nearly all graduates are placed in jobs.

Program

The culinary arts associate degree program requires 18-months to complete. The culinary arts diploma program requires 12-months to complete. Much of the curriculum involves hands-on instruction in five new kitchens modeled after professional facilities. Academic courses focus on culinary arts knowledge. During the last semester of the associate degree program, students complete an off-site externship, coordinated by the institute.
