Jigsaw Academy has a presence in 30 countries with over 40,000+ students who have taken and completed their courses successfully. Until early 2016, they were self-funded before receiving an investment from Mohandas Pai, Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE), and Aarin Capital.

History
Jigsaw Academy was founded by Gaurav Vohra in 2010 and was joined by Sarita Digumarti as co-founder in 2011, while working as Associate Vice Presidents at Genpact LLC.
In 2014, Jigsaw Academy partnered with MISB Bocconi, the only offshore presence of Università Bocconi. Together, they offer an Executive Program in Business Analytics, a one-year blended learning program where a majority of the classes are conducted online and include six 3-day contact classes at the MISB Bocconi campus in Mumbai, India. That same year, Gaurav Vohra, CEO and Co-founder, was presented with the Top Analytics Academician Award. He was ranked among the top 10 Most Prominent Analytics Academicians in India by Analytics India Magazine. Also in 2014, Jigsaw Academy was awarded the Best Academy for Analytics Courses by Brands Academy.
In 2017, Jigsaw Academy collaborated with the University of Chicago Graham School to introduce an Integrated Programme in Data Science and Machine Learning.

Format and Courses
The company currently offers online courses across tools such as SAS, R, Python, Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Hadoop, MongoDB, Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel and concepts such as Retail Analytics, Financial Analytics, HR Analytics, Dimension Reduction, Text mining, Business Analytics, and Web analytics among others.
Jigsaw Academy's courses are offered through their e-learning portal which comes with a Learning Management System that students can use to access the courses and interact with their instructors. They currently have two course formats - Instructor Led (live online classes) and Self-Paced (recorded videos).
Their initial courses focused on specific analytics software such as SAS and R, and training on becoming a Data Scientist and a Data Analyst. Their later offerings include related technologies such as Big Data and Hadoop and have recently begun their beginner and advanced level courses on Machine Learning and Internet of Things.
